This is the first Call for papers for ConsILR-2026

We invite you to submit a paper for the 21th edition of

the International Conference on Linguistic Resources and Tools

for Natural Language Processing – ConsILR-2026,

which will take place

between 11th to 13th of November 2026,

at "Dunarea de Jos" University in Galati – Romania and online.

The conference invites original, unpublished research in all areas of natural language processing, Large Language Models (LLMs), computational linguistics, and digital humanities, addressing both theoretical foundations and practical applications. Contributions may range from linguistic theory and empirical studies to computational models, resources, and tools for processing language in textual or spoken form.

Researchers are encouraged to submit work exploring morphological, syntactic, semantic, and discourse structures, pragmatic language use, multi-word expressions, and the evolution of languages. The call also welcomes studies involving AI-based language interpretation, novel computational methods, or technologies for analysing historical or ancient language variants.

Submissions may focus on any language, but research providing insights into Romanian or its dialects is especially encouraged. The conference is open to computer scientists, linguists, lexicographers, and creators of digital language resources, from early-stage researchers to senior experts.

We welcome a wide range of approaches—including theoretical, symbolic, statistical, and neural methods—and contributions describing new corpora, lexical resources, treebanks, pre-trained models, multimodal datasets, and other language technologies.

The event is organised under the auspices of the Romanian Academy – section of Science and Technology of Information, by the following institutions: the Faculty of Automation, Computers, Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Faculty of Letters from the University "Dunarea de Jos" of Galati, as the local organiser, the Institute of Computer Science of the Romanian Academy – Iași Branch, the Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence “Mihai Drăgănescu” of the Romanian Academy - Bucharest, the Faculty of Computer Science of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași, the “Alexandru Philippide” Institute of Philology of the Romanian Academy – Iași Branch, the Romanian Association of Computational Linguistics, and the Academy of Technical Sciences of Romania.

Authors are encouraged to also submit, in addition to the papers per se, open-source linguistic resources, such as corpora (or corpus examples), demo code, videos and sound files.
